Greg is a senior partner in the firm, and he has spent over twenty years representing hundreds of family owned and closely held businesses throughout the state, with his core client base in the mid-Michigan area. Greg's experience enables him to assist business clients facing a wide variety of opportunities and problems, including buying businesses, selling businesses to third parties or key employees, passing on the business to family members by sale or gift during lifetime, or through the client's estate plan, and resolving disputes among owners of the business.
After graduating from law school at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., Greg served as attorney advisor to a judge at the United States Tax Court for one year. He joined the firm in 1982 and is a former managing partner of the firm, and the current chair of the firm's business law section and health care law section. He is past president of the Northeast Michigan Estate Planning Council and regularly speaks to lay and professional groups on estate planning, focusing on methods to avoid probate and eliminate taxes.
