HUGO E. "TED" BRAUN, JR.
Hugo E. "Ted" Braun, Jr. specializes in estate planning, probate and trust administration, and representation of non-profit tax-exempt organizations. He also works in the areas of real estate and healthcare law. Mr. Braun has represented more than 300 exempt organizations, including numerous hospitals and other healthcare organizations. For many years Mr. Braun taught real estate law for the University of Michigan Extension Service and the Michigan Association of Realtors; and during that time he co-authored and published "The Language of Real Estate Law in Michigan".
Mr. Braun is a life-long resident of Saginaw, Michigan. He graduated from Yale University and the University of Michigan Law School. He is a director of Wolohan Lumber Co. and a past director of Citizens Banking Corp.
Mr. Braun has been very active in charitable and civic organizations. He is President of the Harvey Randall Wickes Foundation, and a Trustee of the Roscommon County Community Foundation. Mr. Braun has served as President/Board Chairman of many organizations including United Way of Saginaw County, Saginaw Community Foundation, Saginaw General Hospital, Child and Family Service of Saginaw, and Saginaw Community Clinic. He has served on the Board of Control of Saginaw Valley State University and a number of other charitable organizations. He has received numerous awards including an honorary Doctor of Laws Degree from Saginaw Valley State University; Lifetime Community Service Award from Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce; Spirit of Philanthropy Award from Saginaw Community Foundation; and United Way Outstanding Community Volunteer Award.
